Our Saturday workshop has been a great success and was well attended throughout the day. While Friday is a typical club meeting with modelling activity and lots of talking, our Saturday workshops are definitely for modelling. During the day we had members constructing wagons, boats and buildings, taking photographs, running models on our mulitgauge test track and generally getting ready for Risex in 2 weeks time. The main effort was concentrated on the "Drive a Train" layout which was transformed from the almost bare boards to a scene of rolling countryside with a woodland cottage, skateboard park, heliport and station. It's amazing how much difference a few hours concentrated modelling can have, you will hardly recognise it! This is the point of these modelling days, no distractions and great progress on club or personal projects and of course great company.
